Rolling Closures on 183A Toll Road to Impact Overnight Travelers

Travel delays anticipated 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, June 7 through Monday, June 10

(Austin, Texas) – This weekend the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) will be implementing nightly rolling road closures on the 183A Toll Road at Hero Way. The closures will occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., beginning Friday, June 7, and last three or four nights. Closures will run about 15 minutes per segment in both the northbound and southbound directions for the entire facility, including both the mainlanes and the frontage roads simultaneously.

The rolling closures are being coordinated in cooperation with the LCRA, which needs to place new transmission lines over the 183A Toll Road.

Variable message signs have been placed in advance of the closure to notify drivers of anticipated delays. Drivers are urged to exercise caution and consider alternate routes.
