Construction Advisory: US 183/183A Intersection Project

Work began the week of November 17, 2014 on the improvement project for the US 183/183A Intersection in Williamson County. The project will entail pavement widening, drainage improvements, signal adjustments and minor new road construction.  The improvements will facilitate smoother and safer turning movements and improve access across the southbound lanes.  Motorists should be aware that the project will consist of day and night time lane closures during the construction period.  The project is expected to be finished in the Fall of 2015.

  • No anticipated lane closures for the next several weeks. 


183A Toll Shield Construction Advisory: 183A Frontage Road Resurfacing Project

 Work began the week of July 28, 2014 on an asphalt maintenance project on the north and south  bound frontage lanes of 183A in Williamson County. The project will remove and replace the top two  inches of the 18-inch thick pavement along the frontage roads. The resurfacing process is expected to be finished by early December 2014. While some work will occur at night to minimize disrupting traffic, motorists should be aware of daytime lane closures during the construction period.
