Construction Advisory: US 183/183A Intersection Project
Work began the week of November 17, 2014 on the improvement project for the US 183/183A Intersection in Williamson County. The project will entail pavement widening, drainage improvements, signal adjustments and minor new road construction. The improvements will facilitate smoother and safer turning movements and improve access across the southbound lanes. Motorists should be aware that the project will consist of day and night time lane closures during the construction period. The project is expected to be finished in the Fall of 2015.
LANE CLOSURE UPDATES:
No lane closures expected.
Please download the detour map to learn more about a recent change in the traffic pattern, or detour, at the US 183/183A Intersection. The map uses a yellow arrow pattern to indicate how drivers will exit CR 276 and a blue arrow pattern to indicate how drivers will access CR 276. This traffic pattern began June 8th, when the existing temporary connection to US 183 was closed. It will last approximately two months, or until construction is complete on the permanent connection to US 183. This closure will expedite construction and will help provide a safe area for the contractor to work on the permanent connection of CR 276 to US 183.
